All professional sports people now use every tool available to them to help them perform and win. The importance of the ‘inner game’ or the athletes mental state has become recognized as one the most important areas that make the difference to their success or failure. Now, if a striker in football suddenly experiences a problem and can no longer score goals, the problem is recognized as mental one and a sports psychologist is brought in the help remove his mental block to scoring.
Just like sports people, sales people are ‘official performers’, that is they have to go out every day and get results regardless of what is happening in their life, the state their head is in or other environmental factors that may be happening.
